Aerial silk is a type of performance in which one or more artists perform aerial acrobatics while hanging from a special type of fabric. You will learn to use the fabric to wrap, suspend, fall, swing, and spiral your body into and out of various positions as you fly, striking poses and figures while flying.
Students of all levels are welcome to attend Air Born Aerial Silk classes. We encourage students to work as a team learning and observing each other aiming to provide a fun atmosphere.
Aerial arts help build alignment, strengthen core muscles, increase spinal, hip and shoulder flexibility in a fun, challenging and supportive environment. We aim to enable students to have the feeling of being part of a creative atmosphere and to be able to release their inner artist (or daredevil!)
Silks 101 is where you will first take flight. Air Born’s “Silks 101” is an introductory program where classes focus on developing the foundations of aerial silks. Each week the class introduces a new skill, helping to develop the student’s aerial ability to eventually move into Air Born’s progressive stages Silks Program.
